A Child's Love

A Child’s Love
~~~~
Nothing is more important
Then a child’s love
When he wraps his arms around you
It’s like a gift from above

He so innocently shows he cares
With his heart open wide
If you’re the recipient of his love
It’ll make you melt inside

He knows of no jealousy
He knows of no deceit
He’ll love unconditional
And from you never retreat

He’ll take what you’ll give
He’ll give more then he’ll take
What he offers isn’t material
And his intentions are never fake

He’ll make a house a home
Make you laugh and make you cry
You’ll be blessed with the time to raise him
Until he sadly said goodbye

He’ll grow-up way too fast
Want to make a life of his own
You’ll be left counting the minutes
Until his next visit home

Nothing warms you more
Then that of a child’s love
This perfect little angel
Given from God above
