I Miss Mommy

Contributed by Chanti on Saturday, 21st December 2002 @ 07:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Dear Mommy, I miss you.

Though you are so close to me,
it feels as if you are so far away,
i want to smile and laugh with you,
but I give in to anger everyday.

I used to know that I loved you,
but now i doubt those words,
it feels like I cant talk to you,
you think everything I say is absurd.

We used to be such good friends,
but now, that would be a lie,
I cannot tell you how I feel,
I sometimes want to die.

Mommy, when I was little,
I swore that I would always be kind to you,
didnt you promise me the same,
but those words seem so true.

Mommy, tell me whats happening,
tell me why we always fight,
tell me why you wont talk to me,
Mommy.. just once more.. tell me : everythings going to be alright.

Your mother just cares about you thats why you fight if your a teen You are rebelling on her issues as all do! I did! Now that I'm older I respected my mother & what she did for me how I was raised,Now that I dont have my mother I wish I had those teen years back to do it all over with her! I would treat her differently! Good poem! Christina

Hey, Chanti I love all your poems so much and this one was no exception. You put such pain in your poems. I can almost see and feel so vividly the pain you describe. I love this poem... perhaps you should give it to your mother. Dont give up...
