A mess Of A poem from a mess of a world

Contributed by Doriens_Picture on Tuesday, 5th April 2005 @ 01:41:03 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Half alive just existing

No where to go no way to be
That is right for anyone other than me

Then you came around

Cleared my head full of drought
Brought life back into my world

In your heart you made a home for me
Because of you because you cared

I found

All the things that I could be
Just with the sound
Of your first words made me devout

You talk me down, calm me down
When I am too strung out to sleep
Don’t think just coz I understand

I care there is more to it that that
There is more to us than that
I can see like nothing else

In me you're better than I want to be

I take whatever you're giving, not enough
I take all that you are no matter how tough

Give me your past coz I’m your future
Give me your world coz I’m your suitor

It's not a mess..it sounds like it's coming straight out of your mind....that's what my mind looks like when I think about love

Speaks straight from the heart. Just the right blend of realism and optimism. I've felt the same way.
