Lonely Shores of Regret

Contributed by bobotheclown on Tuesday, 5th April 2005 @ 01:00:25 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Shipwrecked upon these lonely shores
Left to bleed over these tortured sands
Blinded by the grit that chafes my eyes
After I wiped away the tormenting tears

All alone with the madness in my mind
The madness that stalks me
And tears me apart willfully
Crucifying me to my past failures

Forcefed an excess of lies
Lacking the truth I lie hidden,
Hidden behind my scars (bars)
So the "normal" ones do not fear

Kneeling on these wounded sands
Weeping out my every regret
Beneath the blackened night
The stars my only witness

You just keep getting better and better and I cannot keep up with your mastery.

I want to quote the whole poem.

I felt emotions and you related them, expressed them, so strongly that the scene unfolded itself in my mind.

Now thats poetry...

Kie
