tonight i spill the blood.
blood as red as this rose once was.
my heart is gaping,
hoping to rid itself of disease;
vomitting the lies,
giving away the times
we shared.
i thought we shared...
but now i percieve the flaws
this rose always contained,
hidden well, yet ever growing
like a cancer, sucking life.
perhaps the blood will feed the withered rose;
see it strong and whole again...
perhaps my hopes were not so misplaced,
perhaps i did not flounder in the mire.
but even as i long for renewal,
death spreads its fingers.
the rose withers,
falls into a pool of blood.
my heart is open...
My heart vomits the lies,
giving away the times
we never shared.
we will never share.

This is so deep...the first lines are beautiful where it says...tonight i spill the blood. blood as red as this rose once was. my heart is gaping, hoping to rid itself of disease; ah...tha's beautiful the way you wrote that line...It's very unique the way you put pain into the rose like this....thanks for sharing this one im going for a 2nd read..
