They Say...

Contributed by FearMyRawr on Monday, 4th April 2005 @ 09:29:39 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

They say we'll never make it
They say we are too young
To know the beauty and the truth of love
But we've come this far
We've been through our share of hardships
That others would be shocked to know
Yet here we stand, hand in hand
Ready to fight this battle
The same warriors that fought us from the start
We look into each other's eyes
Whisper our 'I love you's
And charge
Taking down those who stand in our way
Taking down those who have caused us pain
Our strength never ending
Feeding off our love
They say you are impossible to love
They say you are not worthy
But I find it impossible not to love you
You are my never ending light
Without you my sun won't shine
I don't know where I'd be without you
You were my first best friend
You are my baby, my one and only
And I know that I am yours
They say we'll never last
They say we are not old enough
::chuckles:: Well...
We will make it
We do know loves truth
We are honestly, truly, deeply
In love
And baby, I love you

They do get annoying, don't they?? (I'm in the same boat....) NIcely written...I'd probably throw a temper tantrum trying to make the same point.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
