Forget

Contributed by JacobsKK on Monday, 4th April 2005 @ 07:40:30 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Forget all the “I Love Yous”
Forget all of the smiles.
Forget, “You make me happy,
And you make my life worth while.”

Forgetting that was hard for me,
But it shouldn’t be for you.
Cuz half the things you said to me,
I bet, weren’t even true.

So for you, letting all of that go,
Sure must be a piece of cake.
I should have known from the beginning,
That all your words were fake.

I kinda hope she laughs at you,
Like Hailey did when you asked her.
I realized that you never cared,
About what we once were.

“I love you” didn’t matter.
“I love you” never will.
“I love you” is a promise,
That your mouth cannot fulfill.

The next time that I see your face,
My own will turn beat red.
Filled with a dreadful anger,
At all the lies that you once said.

I know you sense my anger,
When we call and talk on the phone.
I was left to get up and recover,
From the very place I was thrown.

If you really want her back,
That is perfectly fine with me.
Cuz I don’t love you no more, I hope,
She dumps you publicly.

If you ever ask me out again,
Then this is what I’ll say…
“Heck no, cuz just like all the rest,
I cared, and you ran away.”

But I’ll pray for you, don’t get me wrong,
I’ll pray that you change your ways.
And I hope you know how it feels,
To suffer love for several days.

I’m actually glad I met you,
And that I don’t love you anymore.
Mostly cuz in the future,
I’ll know which guys to watch out for.

But you’re a jerk! Do you know why?
Cuz I didn’t mean a thing that I just said.
I’m too freakin in love with you,
That I can’t think straight in my head.

If you ever asked me back out,
I’d say yes, like an idiot would.
And then go through it all over again,
But if I would hate you if I could.

Oh my gosh. I am right there with ya.
my bf broke up with me after being to gether for a year
This is the worst feeling that I have ever experienced
and I know just what you are going through.

“I love you” didn’t matter.
“I love you” never will.
“I love you” is a promise,
That your mouth cannot fulfill.

it's like deja vu. i've thought the same exact thing.

Great write

very nice write. No doubt this is how my girl felt when I broke up with her. I didn't mean for it to be nasty, it just kinda turned that way, and I can imagine this is how she felt. keep up the good work
