Of Later Days...

Contributed by ForeverAndADay on Monday, 4th April 2005 @ 03:35:29 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

This world has gone to waste.

The sky grows dark in these later days.
The rain beats down as acid and eats into this world,
feasting on the last remaining remnants of life.
The sunrise is amber, an elder woman losing her luster.
the seas and great oceans are going dry...
The air is poison, with it the wind carries nothing but illness.
Autumn came and took all of our greenery, a bitter debt we're forced to pay...
And spring never came again to restore the things it took away.
The buildings stand as hulks of ruin.
Our society has grown thin.
The windows are shattered and the walls have been knocked in.
No child can stay alive more then a couple of days.
Our world has turned against us
Just paying us back for taking it's beauty away.

Everyone is dying...

This world has gone to waste.

An ebony tinted piece, entailed with gloom via a sombre tone.
A rather descriptive piece, offering us visualisations, no cinematography could provide us with.
An efficient tie has been created, much like a ring, the ending and the beginning, link to form one.
A haunting piece!
