What makes you laugh?
What makes you smile?
I’m willing to listen,
Sit down for a while.
Drop the pen and paper you hold.
For while they make you wiser,
They make you cold.
Use words instead.
Use them on me.
Ill stay out of your head,
Tell me what to see.
I’m no therapist, but I can tell
Writing down your thoughts
only makes them swell.
What makes you tick?
What makes you sad?
Just let me know,
It wont be as bad.
Moderate writing, don’t let it consume.
For if you don’t speak,
Your thoughts can’t bloom.
I’ve sat here with you,
Hanging to your every word.
Never once critiquing
The sadness that I heard.
You want to repay me,
Only praising my name.
I’d ask for nothing more
Than if you did the same.

Marc i liked this a lot, it's very well writen.
What makes you laugh?
What makes you smile?
I’m willing to listen,
Sit down for a while.
Drop the pen and paper you hold.
For while they make you wiser,
They make you cold.
I love that stanza the best.

Hear hear! I admire and agree with what was said in this piece.
Drop the pen and paper you hold.
For while they make you wiser,
They make you cold.
I like the way this was put. Also the ending,
I’d ask for nothing more
Than if you did the same.
Well spoken! Keep it up.

Oh Marc! WOW. This was phenominal my new favorite.. for a couple reasons:
1. This relates so much to me, I can be on other end but I'm more on the end of who you're writing about.
2. The structure/format was beautiful I really liked the two questions in the first and third stanzas.
3. It's just brilliant.. you know those poems that are written so good it just takes your breath away? That's what you've done here and I had to wait a minute before I commented so I could pick apart the pieces, this is wonderful deffinately my favorite of yours! (until I read the next one).
Don't throw away your talent!
