A wounded discarded heart...

Contributed by mina-1 on Monday, 4th April 2005 @ 08:41:28 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Untold secrets dwell admist my heart
Worn, graceless and torn a part
Betrayed, feeling atrophy no sign of hope
Tormented, peeved unable to cope
Traumatised by senseless human sins
Wavered numb bruised beyond the skin
Reflections cast broken and marred
A stained and embittered heart that's charred
Silent tears succumb falling rapidly in pace
Like hot blood they bleed trailing upon my face
Embracing hate while I once carried your name
This heart now lays broken and baring the shame.

Sue ,
You r poem is beautiful and yet alot of pain;
"reflections cast broken and marred a
a stained and embitterd heart that's charred"
That is great.

My prayers are with you

Yes, this is all too emotive for me… it breaks me to read this.
Yet I cannot help but love your poetic reflections.
They always stand tall against your background of anguish and allow one to feel and live, even though momentarily, and vicariously through your experiences.
A powerful and bold approach, sincere in regards, yet saddening.

“Traumatised by senseless human sins
Wavered numb bruised beyond the skin”

-Truly heart wrenching composition.

What you see as a broken heart of shame another sees as a treasure that has yet to be awakened.

And, one day I believe someone will find a way into your heart and you will smile and maybe turn your toes under in happiness.

But until then keep on writing for it is a way to let the pain go.

It worked for me.

Loved your poem.

Kie
