Night

Contributed by lost13 on Sunday, 3rd April 2005 @ 11:12:34 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

sometimes filled with light
so mysterious and bright
at other times so black
you feel like turning back
the darkness closes in around you
and there's nothing you can do
then the stars come out to save you
their light shining true
you feel as if you're born again
all your hope restored
then the stars hide behind the clouds
and the darkness closes in on you once more
your heart quickens its pace while your breathing practically stops
it's almost like you're drowning, drowning in the dark
then the stars come out of hiding
and at once calm your heart
but for fear of drowning all over again
you find your house and then your bed
you look out the window and wonder
will the stars keep up the guardianship
but then they're gone again

Hey this is pretty good..
I like the theme of the stars,
and the simplicity of the whole thing.

Great work, keep it up!
