The Changing Of The Seasons

Contributed by Urizen on Sunday, 3rd April 2005 @ 05:06:02 PM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

I'll be your still-born baby mounted on black card,
I'm your only hope, a desolate sunrise, left out to rot, my skin becomes hard.
It sounds like the city is dying tonight
It's coughing and choking this disease has been left to evolve too far.
Later when the darkness comes, I hope you realise, I hope you notice, I hope I'm not the only one,
I'm searching for the perfect line, the perfect phrase, the perfect rhyme
A simple word to escalate this feeling that ruminates within me.
I'm lost like a junkie trying to score one last fix,
Beeswax, needle marks, one more night of exulted bliss.
A shape appears, it looks familiar
A theory grows,
It's in-material to the thoughts and the actions that magnify this ushered hatred of all things that appear holy,
It grows like a rotting, decaying apple a manifestation of all things that is wrong with this state of being, this mind,
My eyes grow heavy, weary of this world I see around me,
Impatient and eager, I have an urge to jump, a final flow of anger pulsating through my veins,
A release that surely is unlike none other
Just a sense that we all are born and all return to the same sphere, the same place.
An eternal echo, resideing in memories and dreams long after they have appeared to disappear,
A selfless body breathing the stale air that circulates round discarded chambers and over-used sinews of your soul,
Another face in the crowd, a repeating enermy that comes and steals all of your hopes,
You're so beautiful I wish you were mine, I could engulf you and be as one with you,
The palace is falling it is being ingested from within, self combusting, self loathing, myth destroying,
A silent carriage, as we await the changing of the seasons.

I'm not sure if the category you chose gives this the proper rendering it deserves..

"The palace is falling it is being ingested from within, self combusting, self loathing, myth destroying,"

"My eyes grow heavy, weary of this world I see around me,
Impatient and eager, I have an urge to jump, a final flow of anger pulsating through my veins,"

these are sad sentiments or at the very least, angry..
and brilliantly written as well..
I really enjoyed this..
