An empty shell
I stand in the middle
I take up no room
Yet all is full
The sunbeams glisten in
Warming the arm that faces
The window
Deep breath in
Long glance in
Not just the house
Within me
The bright shadows
Of my memories here
Transparent
Yet there
Apparent
To all
How much
Will be missed
In my eagerness
And excitement
I am pausing
Reflecting
A tear rolls
Opening a waterfall
The lake on the empty floor
The cold, smooth floor
Reminds of sorrows
Though was created by happiness
Now glance through blur
Over shoulder
Then gone
Door shut
Activity resumes without
Yet inside all is still
A mourning
For past comfort
As I move on
Opening the door
To my present and future
New residents
Invade my past
And I am not bothered
