More Than Friends

Knowing I can't be with you,
Tears my world apart,
Everything changes,
Everything goes dark.

Words don't have meaning,
Colors seem faded.
Shaded colors surround my mind,
It all stands still,
Everything that was once mine .

When you are here,
For a moment there's color,
For a moment there's meaning,
For a moment there’s everything I've ever wanted...
Then it disappears.

Disappears without a trace,
Leaving me in an endless chase.
If that moment couldn't stay like that,
I would wait forever for it to come back.

I'll wait my whole lifetime if that's what it takes,
For you to notice,
I won't make another mistake.
I've lost you before and I won't do it again,
I will wait for you,
For your heart to mend...
If we could just,
Just be more than friends

Very emotional, I can definately understand where you are comin from. Good job.

Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.
