The other side was green and gold.
Green grass field and small yellow flowers.
The field land stretches on until sea shores.
I am running to reach the golden shores.
I can see the blue-green of the sea.
Suddenly a dark storm rolls over me.
The rain pours, thunder and lightning strikes.
I walked for days, waiting to feel the sand.
For it was too dark to see the shores.
One day I slept and when I awoke,
I found the sun and sky, but no sea.
I searched all around for sea and shores.
I saw rigid walls of cliffs and coarse grass.
So there I laid down in my sorrow.
As another storm rolled in right away.
I laid there, waiting in time,
Darkness swept over me ... and,
There it settled over my weary eyes . . .
And then the darkness sunk in . . .
. . . Deeper . . .
