I AM A SINNER

I am a sinner
Soon I will confess
Each day I get thinner
And my sanity is less and less
A grave crime
Only in my head
A younger time
When I wished I were dead
A predisposition
Thriving in my soul
A morbid decision
I am ordered to pay my toll
For now I indulge in dark wine
For a much needed high
I never feel fine
And if you see me stumble, now you know why
Flashing white, ghostly images
Pierce and prick my mind
I try and build stable bridges
But they shake me from behind
All I can do is run and hide
What’s my name?
Where’s my pride?
