The Beauty That No Mirror Could Reflect

Contributed by sir_odd87 on Saturday, 2nd April 2005 @ 04:01:16 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

She snuggled close,
Wrapped her arms
Around my neck,
And prepared me
To be asked
After a few sweet kisses
She had me,
Right where she wanted
Our lips parted
And the question came
She hit with it
I never saw it coming
"What do you see,
When you look at me?"
I told her what she looked like,
But she stopped me short,
Correcting me
"Not what I LOOK like
But what you SEE"
So I looked into her eyes.
I held her close,
And I thought a while.
How do you explain
A beauty that
No mirror could reflect
And no photograph
Could ever depict?
They can show a pretty face,
Perfect breasts,
A lovely figure.
But they could never show
The love we share.
How do I describe love?
When I look at her,
That's all I see.
A love, so pure and beautiful,
That any blemish is ignored.
I don't see her face
I see a warmth.
The warmth of love,
And a beauty that no
Mirror could reflect.

The way you describe her, it's the way everybody would like to be descibed as.
Plus, it's very romantic.

I'm with one of the other commentor's WOW!

You know it is rare that a man see beauty from inside and it encompasses his love and makes her even more beautiful.

This was a treat to read.

Such depth you possess.

Warm, loving and romantic, as well as well-written. I like the lines

How do you explain
A beauty that
No mirror could reflect
And no photograph
Could ever depict?

Nicely done, nicely done. She be a lucky one, methinks possibly.

Andrew

This poem was so rich with true love, and you drew me in with your description of it. The sentiment is especially meaningful to me for my own reasons, but I am certain you will reach all of us with your open heart.

thanks for writing this.
