Release Me

Contributed by pixie on Friday, 1st April 2005 @ 01:08:18 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Please release me from your clutch,
I have felt your presence too much,
It is more than my soul can handle,
To you my life’s just like a dying candle.

I am just a toy, a player in your game,
Never again will I feel the same,
If you don’t release my tainted soul now,
I’ll never recover I just wont know how.

But you can’t show a shred of humanity,
You’d like to steal every bit of my sanity,
Take off my chains let me go free,
My place is no longer to sit on your knee.

But you’ve trapped me too long I am your slave,
When I’m with you my future looks grave,
Please let me go I’ve suffered for too long,
Can’t you see by your side I don’t belong.

I have love which you want to destroy,
Like I said before to you I am but a toy,
But I am a human & I do have feelings,
& with your cruel intentions you set my heart reeling.

I stand in front of you & I plead,
I know how to cry & I know how to bleed,
& if I have to die to be rid of you,
Then that’s the final thing that I must so do.

Aww.. hun..
Your poems are always so heartbreaking.. I love how you write, I don't know anyone else that can do it like you.

I really love this stanza:

I am just a toy, a player in your game,
Never again will I feel the same,
If you don’t release my tainted soul now,
I’ll never recover I just wont know how.

Great write hunni,
Phil

GREAT WRITE..

That is my favorite part.
Keep it up

Pixie,
If I could be your knight in shining armor and free you from that bondage, you know I would do it. As it stands, I am your friend and always will be there for you. Very well written piece.

Hugs,
The Voice

You write:

“I stand in front of you & I plead,
I know how to cry & I know how to bleed,
& if I have to die to be rid of you,
Then that’s the final thing that I must so do.”

I contend:

. . . Battles are not won by those who are willing to die for their cause . . . they are won by making the other party die for theirs . . .

Think it over. You have so much to look forward to after you win this one battle. Good poem deserves a “Good sense” solution.

Cheers
John
