*Mask*

Contributed by write_whenit_hurts on Friday, 1st April 2005 @ 03:55:46 AM in AEST
Topic: secrets

So hide your face with that mask
the mask that hides your tears
Do the unbearable task
try not to show any of your fears

Use the mask which hides your soul
So no one can see the person you are
you know you can never be whole
Praying for someone to be your shining star

What's the use of lying?
Everyone wears one even if you don't know
You spend hours awake crying
And the effect of the mask isn't slow

So wear your mask that hides your heart
Sometimes you're the only one whos mask needs a smile
Praying for your life can be a start
Since lying in a casket may take a while

So hide your face with that mask
The mask that hides your tears
The mask that hides your soul
The mask that hides your heart
The mask that hides the real you

Its a really good poem! I've been there before and i know that when people don't seem to know the real you, it gets to you. Just hold your head up and never change who you are and maybe, hopefully people soon will know the real you.
