Above the city lights, in the
midst of the stars, lies my
heart as it soars when thoughts
of you fill my head, day and night.
Imagining how beautiful you'll look
does reality no justice because
I know you are a dream come true.
So I hope, I wish, I pray for
one special night where we can embrace
and glide to the music;
one night of privilege, as I proudly
declare myself on your arm;
and one night of lights, beauty,
smiles, and fun, all on this wonderful
night of prom.
