I never thought....Suddenly

You never thought you’d feel sadness or ever begin to doubt
Well now you’re crying in silence vanishing while you shout
You never were conscious of your own heart until it began to bleed
Suddenly it’s crying out sighing over that one love you need

You never thought you’d feel anger and lock yourself up inside
Well now you’re fists are bruised as you slam the door in which you hide
You never realized you were happy thinking that it all would last
Suddenly every second’s gone somehow so you’re living in the past

You never knew of taking things for granted being so set in your ways
Suddenly memories are all you have to hold missing the good old days
You never thought you’d realize the irony and question why we live
Well now you’d love to go back to the start even the future you would give
