The feeling a boy gets when riding a Hippogriff

Contributed by Nardo on Thursday, 31st March 2005 @ 09:08:22 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Upon soaring the skies
on the back of
feathered wings,
to taste clouds
dripping,
bellies full of rain.
The feeling a boy gets
when freedom calls,
to send all worries
back to the ground,
for the sky is yours
when summoned.
No boundries between
what is yours
and
what is real,
as no one
but,
no one
can hurt you.

it was a really good poem. simple, clear and delicious.

i think the title is terrible though and the acknowledged association to harry potter takes very much out of the poem.

Oh this was cool. I love the Harry Potter books I have read up to the 5th one, waiting on the 6th one for my bday coming up real soon. I remember when I read Tolkien, I wanted to live in middle earth. Now I want to go to school at Hogwarts. It would be so fun to hang out with Harry and Hagrid, the Weasley twins, Dumbledore. Oh the list goes on. Thanks for sharing a great write. Peace to you. Laura
