I Died Today....

Contributed by BuggY on Thursday, 31st March 2005 @ 06:00:30 PM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

Ive Missed Talking To You,
You Have Said You Have Missed Me Too,
I Don’t Wanna Say Bye For Good,
But I Thought I Should.

I Thought You Wanted To Leave Forever,
And Never Talk Together.
It Ripped Me To Bits,
When I Called It Quits.

I Need Help Gary,
I’m Going To See This Lady,
See If She Can Sort Me Out,
I Am Feeling So Worn Out!!

She Might Get Me Out Of Depression,
I Cant Complete This Mission,
Of Me Trying To Be Happy,
Everyone Is Saying “Cheer Up Hun”.
How Can I Be Happy?
When Your Not Gary?

She Said She Will Try And Help Out,
But She’ll Probably Just Freak Out…
When She Sees The State I’m In,
And She Won’t Even Begin.

Then I'm Back To Square One,
I Don’t Wanna Go There Again!
I Need You Gary,
Will You Ever Believe Me?

I Dont Want To Say Bye,
To A Very Special Guy,
I Can Feel My Heart Break,
Never Have I Felt Such An Ache!

Remember The Moments We Have Shared,
Dont You Forget, I Have Always Cared,
Together We Faced Some Fears,
And I Shed So Many Tears.

I Died Today… I Said Goodbye :(

I didn't know what to expect from this poem, just by reading the title. I work in a clinical setting and I see depression and emotional sides to couples whose relationships have ended.

I feel for you and I do know that it hurts bec. once upon a time I was there. But, you have NOT died and you make the choice to live on.

I thought I died every single time someone I loved was lying in a casket and then lowered into the ground. You feel like a part of yourself has gone under with them. But I did not die, I chose to keep on going.

It hurts when you love someone and it doesn't work out but, you've got to find an inner strength, independence, and continue on with life---if it is meant to be, it will be.

You expressed yourself well in this poem.

Kie

Kie, I Cant move on, thats the problem. i feel so depressed because i have lost him. It was nearly a year ago we were dating, and i loved him very much, but my heart has been broken for 3 years :( and my life is breaking!!! I have alot of independance, but i just cant move on! he means the world to me!! I'd do anything for him!! i am going to see a counsellor and a doctor about my depression etc. So maybe i can move on after my treatment!!
Thanks for the comments people!!! means alot.. xxx
