ONE diamond earring.
THREE watches.
SIXTY SIX silver pieces.
A pearl necklace.
A locket...
Charred and burned
image.
ONE lock of hair.
TWO lipstick cases.
A roll of film.
TWENTY wedding bands.
Over THREE HUNDRED NINETY THREE
ghost like photographs.
TEN pieces of cloth.
Some Yarn
SEVEN needles.
NINETY ONE various charms.
THIRTY ONE love notes.
A few unpublished pages
From a novel no one will ever read.
THREE guitar picks.
A feather taken from a dove.
FOUR HUNDRED buttons of various sizes.
Glass, rubber, metal, and other remnets
of unidentified busted stuff.
And at least one flower head
Taken by a dandelion,
From a girl who is just about six.
These things, are just some,
Of the things that are inserted,
Into Five Thousand glass bottles.
And they are well reprosented.
The people they belonged to...
Are no more...
But their spirits remain,
As the bottles drift off,
Glinting off early morning sunlight...
To a destination unknown.
(We all watch as Thousands of bottles,
Vanish into the horizon,
Transparent lovely ghosts.)

I liked this a lot. The style you used was really interesting, in a good way of course. I definately enjoyed reading it. |
