The hurt we give each other

Contributed by niping on Wednesday, 30th March 2005 @ 02:01:32 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Oh, my cruel and precious creature
Why do you just stand there staring
With the burning embers of your eyes,
And let me thrash you with my wicked tongue
Whilst my evil words constrict your throat
And let no air into your desperate lungs?

Oh, the selfish tears I made you shed
That I felt upon my own cruel skin
Should have made you fight me and made you hate me as my due.
But you just stood there staring,
All you needed were the embers
That tormented me as I remebered
That you could hurt me to.

Oh, how we stand and cry together
With these awful words we'll speak forever.
And the acid taste upon our lips,
The way we burn our fingertips
Binds us tighter to each other
So that there could be no other.

Oh my cruel and precious creature
I will forever meet you: in this world there is no caring
And in death we will be sharing
The hurt we gave each other,
My cruel and precious creature.
