Last Words

Contributed by THUGGIN4REAL on Wednesday, 30th March 2005 @ 01:48:12 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Why does everybody smile and I feel nothing but hate , I guess I've must of been last in line when God decided to create.
All my life , I've had nothing to fear , out of everything I'd been through , I really dont care if my death is near.
I get tired of sleeping , cause no matter what I dream , I can't get rid of this pain , sometimes I wish that a poison would just flow through my veins.
I'm tired of being the lock that holds my family chain together , its been what , twenty-five years people , things are not gonna get any better.
Maybe I should just screw off my probation and go back to prison , I know God gave me a second chance at life , but I'm ready to abort my mission.
I always knew I never had any friends , but hey , I dont blame them , besides who would want to be around trouble that has no ends?
The only reason I have'nt gone back to the streets is because of my daughter , I love you sweetheart , I just wish I could of been a better father.
Mom , I know you worry about me after you pass , just where will your son go , well after your gone , I wont have anymore family , so I can exclude them for a future home , and since I'm from the streets , I'd have to reclaim my throne , to once again , walk this world alone.
Jim , I've known you ever since we were kids , but face it bro , nobody is gonna look pass the things we once did.
Jamie , I've never met a girl like you in this world , you have no idea on how blessed I've been to have you as my girl , all I want is to feel the warmth of your hugs , continue to show me your love , cause there are only three things I want to remember before I die by the sluggs , my mothers touch , my daughters kiss , and your tear drop , those are the things I'm truely gonna miss.
My audience , every week I come out here to hear ya'll speak , ya'll have no idea how it makes me feel to see smiles upon ya'lls cheeks , each and every single one of ya'll is what this world needs , cause when I listen to ya'lls poems , my heart no longer bleeds.
No matter what happens in life , never stop writing , ya'll opened my heart , and for once I feel accepted , so when things get tough , promise to keep on fighting.

I'm truely feeling you on this one... I really loved your poem, and trust me when I say I can relate in more ways then once. Your poem had brought tears to my eyes, it was filled with some much emotion, I really liked it. Basically all I can say is that you did your thing, and it was raw and real too. I really liked it.

Your honest approach
to what's on your mind
and in your heart
makes this
worth reading.

Keep writing.

WHOA!!! I have never read anything so powerful. This is an extreme piece of poetry. Your writing skills are limitless. My emotions were on a rollercoaster throughout the reading of the poem. You write what you know and it is amazing. Not many people can pull that off. You certainly topped the list. Whatever you do, please keep on writing. Love your daughter with all that is in your heart and she will grow to be an amazing young lady. Such vivid emotions that you express are touching indeed. I hope that you won't go back to prison because with writing like this you have a career. May God reach down and lift you up in His loving embrace so that when He sets you back down you will feel the love in your heart. Excellent writing.

I liked the flow of this poem and how it was much like a dedication to all of your loved ones. I liked the part where you told what you wanted to remember most in your lifetime. I hope you continue writing.
