enemies mutate

softly spoken

lies

upon deaf ears

winning

emptyness

slowly

through the void

satellites beaming cable

we breathe in

we breathe out

slow

sometimes

fast

always

slowly

through the void

our soft guts tumbling

beneath

our naked skins

on this crippled island

spinning slowly

through the void

with the slave masters, the circus

and the warmth of the burning sun
