It’s hard to be real in a world so plastic, so prosthetic.
And, this is no attempt at depth.
Still waters run deep; and motionlessness kills me.
I’ve always got to keep moving.
To withstand a reliable, -steady, -quick pace.
I’m just trying to keep up pace
-with you.
You’re always running, and I fear I’m lagging behind.
Is that why?
Is she swifter than I?
That’s crazy there are none more ‘there’ than me.
I can out ‘there’ them any day.
… Where’s the theme in this all?
That’s my problem. I lack theme.
-and theme is what ties.
What’s my genre? What’s my ‘overall’?
I don’t have one.
I’m too much of a variety to be sorted.
“Themes Are for Suckers” –that’s my theme.
I’m not prosthetic.
But, I am unreal.
I’m tainted, corrupt.
Uneasy. (or, over-easy?)
Un-plastic, at least. I’m aluminum all the way, baby.
“Still, or not?”
That is the question.

I liked this....I love to play with words when I write and I got that from this write. Good imagery and the flow was nice. Thanks for sharing!
