This pillow is so soft
It's borderline a nuisance.
The bed I hear cough
It's telling me "lay down, and dance,
we merely want to play"
It wants to hold me and keep me there
The sheets just stare,
and they laugh slightly,
amused, grinning weakly.
They know I'm here alone,
They know now how I shake,
and they see how much I wake
When there is no one there to hold
and keep you warm from the cold
so that the screams are just a figment
and you smile to yourself,
trying to calm,
but you quiver when you reach out into the darkness
and there is no one.

Interesting poem
in bed alone
Lay down and dance
A smile to enhance
Devious thoughts
What not aught
Makes one wonder
What goes on under cover
Good poem
