Shakespeare

Contributed by jaavys on Friday, 20th December 2002 @ 12:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: mystical

Shakespeare, Poe and Emily
Gather in the timeless hall
Poets that will write no more
No more words that will enthrall

Shakespeare says, it won't hold up
Poe agrees, it's not macabre
But Emily, God bless her soul
Reads his poetry to all

Flowing is his cadence
Simple is his verse
Love most certainly his theme
Why are you two so adverse?

The tea is hot the tea is cold
That's a line I can recall
When I read his poetry
I just want to haunt him more

What about this Stephanie?
She's the apple from the tree
Poetry they write each other
She the rose and he the father

It's too bad we cannot write
We can read and we can fight
Soon he'll gather in the hall
His words in tow his life contrite

Hello Nessa, good to hear from you. My dght is an english maj working on her masters.
She wants a PhD. She writes poetry and sometimes she writes on some of the stuff I write. She is very good. I have gotten a lot of mail on that last piece, in fact it's been my most popular to date. You all come back, hear!!
