Grand Decision

Gazing from upon a riverbank a grand decision is at the fore
Should I let my vessel flow with the current or fight forever more?
In both directions an endless view of careening waters is in sight
The sun begins to weaken as this perpetuous decision fades into the night
Upon the shores the waves do crash creating a lullaby of dreams
The gentle breeze reminds the vessel of impending peace or so it seems
A reflection of the fading sun blinds the searching soul on this somber eve
Yet gives a hint of something greater a hope to retrieve
Passing vessels never once stop to mention what lies beyond the endless view
Without hesistation they hurriedly continue on their pathway despite a lack of goal to pursue
A poetic euphoria I behold before my very eyes
Waters continually flowing bare a constant surprise
As for a moment my gaze drifts to the shore beyond my reach
As army of passing eyes stare at my shore they beseach
I wonder what lies inside the mind of the soul that entrances my stare
Is this grand decision perplexing their heart and leaving their soul laid bare?
The soaring bird above my head reminds me of a truth we all must face
I am but a sparrow to the passerby and the path to my heart they can never trace
