Every time I close my eyes,
I see you sitting by my side.
Whenever life gets rough,
You're there to help me say, enough!
You give me the strength that I lack,
When anyone else would just turn their back.
You taught me to be strong,
When life throws me all sorts of wrongs.
You taught me to see the beauty in all things,
You taught me how to use my wings.
You make me feel so beautiful,
You help me to see the cup as half-full.
My life is richer for knowing you,
My love will always shine because of you.
