The Whisper

Contributed by Greenlee on Tuesday, 29th March 2005 @ 11:22:49 AM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

Beautiful fragility
As he speaks softly
As he looks so broken
My mind is full of wonder
When I hear him whisper
But I hope I never know

Pain filled perfection
That's what I see in him
Iconic obsession
Was the source of my love for him
His beauty was resurrected
From that one September day
And he's too good for a mortality
Because unlike us he belongs only to himself.

I stopped crying after two weeks
Because of our sudden goodbye
I'll forever consider it our last kiss
When he stopped with just a smile.
We were doing so well in our painful way
But they pulled him from the bottom of the lake
Isn't that why I fell for the beauty of his flaws?
