Afternoon Swim

Let us stroll down
to the rivers edge, my love
Free ourselves....
of these clothes which bind
Jump in with me baby
the water's just fine
We'll swim all our troubles away
Let the river take all...
today
Climb out
Renewed....refined
Find a nice flat rock
rest awhile
Dry our bodies
in the warm sunshine
We'll listen to the river flow
Birds winging high above
Calling out to one another
in sweet songs of love
Gentle wind blows
through the pines
makes a whispering sound
Peace and tranquility
all around us
Basking in the sun
until our bodies are...
golden brown.

What a nice relaxing poem! Too bad my hermit man would never ever take off his clothes outdoors! I'll just have to imagine it in your poetry...LOL

Wonderful poem with a very enticing description, with vivid imagery. Takes me back to my youth: however I think I would enjoy it just as much today. Never too old for skinny dipping. :)
Have a nice swim Laura
