Simple

mass hysteria, so get me a tall latte
calm the senses and soother the mind
rush hour freaks going the wrong way
times I need to leave it all behind
truly pointless, so sit simmer down
ignore all the problems thrown to you
none of these things will stick around
dictating the actions you will choose

why can't we sit down and live the simple
there's too many things to choose from to do
why must we live this way
why can't we just skip today

blind chaos, where's the latte for me
moving so much closer to the edge
I am not blind here but I can't see
where's my downer beyond my privilege
adrenaline sucker, gullible everything
believe all your ears have layed upon
you're just a sucker who knows nothing
get away from here so you can move on

holding to nothing the chaos has brought me
I'm letting go now so I can move on

Today, as I pulled up near the curb, I climbed out of my new BMW, and was very careful not to scratch the leather with my suitcase. I walked into the upper-class café and revelled in my disappointment as no-one was there to hold open the tinted glass door for me as I entered. I walked across the polished floor, so clear and shiny that I could see my face in it, this was a nice me moment. I sat down and waited the mandatory 25 minutes before I could order my pre morning tea meal and removed my high end laptop computer from its case (leather, silver trim) and connected to the internet while I waited. I smiled/snickered as I noticed that out of everyone else using their laptops here today, none of them had a machine as impressively over accentuated as mine… therefore, they are all below me. I connected to this site, and I read your poem, when I finished reading I wondered about the people you write about and whether there lifestyle is any way to live.
