I think back for a moment,
to the times that we’ve shared.
And sometimes I wish,
that my heart could be spared.
Yet, despite it all,
the loneliness I feel,
the hope that change
won’t be for real.
This I do know,
not a thing would I amend.
I would still give my heart,
though the pain does it rend.
Though I cannot watch
and gaze upon your face,
at work and in my thoughts,
your memory doI trace.
It seems but just a moment
that we shared our first kiss,
Yet now years have gone by
And not one day would I have missed.
From your side I did leave,
But to your heart, I still cleave.
Your presence denied,
a love I must hide,
But, my sweet,
I will always be with you,
no matter what you do.
You will share my thoughts,
You will share my dreams.
You will share my fantasies,
You will share my schemes.
Never before have I known,
one so very unique.
A person who shakes my soul,
seeing you, I cannot speak.
If only you could share with me,
how I would like our life to be.
I’ve taken for granted
the times we were close,
And now, losing you,
is what I fear most.
This one thing remains, so very real.
And that my love is how I feel.
I never want to say goodbye.
I never want to forget to cry.
I never want us to end.
I never want a problem we can’t mend.
I never want a word unspoken.
I never want our hearts left broken.
I never want you to ponder,
For absence, will always make
my love grow fonder.
