The Story of a Man

Contributed by breny on Monday, 28th March 2005 @ 06:23:20 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

The story of a man
who's heart has a crack
He gave all his love
to get nothing back

This love that he cherished
was doomed to fail
There was no way to get it
he just couldn't prevail

His love for her ran deep
as pure as love can be
She loved him the same
but this love just couldn't be

The woman has a boy
And she must do what's right for him
even if it causes
her life to be grim

So now they live their lives
and everyday they wonder
about what could have been
if their love had not been hindered

A very sad tale- yet captured so well by you...
If this love was real then it will prevail over time and trial...
There is no stronger force known to man than true love...

I like this, sad, and straight to the point, but in a good way.
There is a lot of meaning behind this, and a definate moral behind it.

Good write Brenna,
Phil

This was so universal, i know personally, I can relate to aspects of it. You really demonstrate your talent in poetry like this, you have a knack for writing very personal stuff that is just so easily relatable. Again, this was a great write.
