just a small child
death has overcome
cold and dark
has lost part of his heart
death has taken its toll
the end of his family
at a young age
to live in a smaller one
but will always be alone
numbing the pain
with what will work
sometimes with games
sometimes with work
friends help alot
but nothing will work
on filling this hole
with soil and dirt
making him feel full
numbing the hurt
but when work is over
and games are done
friends are all gone
in the darkness
the pain returns
he sees others fathers
there childs role model
but he has none
needs to make his own life
but the hole got bigger
needs more dirt
to stop the hurt
finds more friends
and dose more things
time will only tell
what this will bring

Pastimes can help hide pain, and friends sometimes help ease it, but some hurts never go away. Great write, and welcome to YPDC. |
