selfstruggles

The lighting...
It appears as blood...
Shading...
Suffocating my mortal being.
I'm tired...
Of living in darkness...
Of receiving...
Leftover oxygen.
I want...
To feel needed...
To have purpose...
Of existance.
Living...
In a shadow of nightmare...
Leading me to...
A breakdown of fright.
My mind...
Twists even a lullabye...
Into a dark song...
Of hatred and torment.
I feel...
My sanity leaving...
Quicker, shorter breaths...
Out of a body that's barely breathing.
I'm out of control...
Who is this...
Person resting...
In this body that once was mine.
What happened to the girl...
Who had it all together...
Who knew she could make it...
Alone.
Call 911...
Her wrist has no pulse...
Stop, we've been mistaken...
This is not her.
The girl we knew...
Is gone forever...
We want her back...
But a cold spirit...
Occupies what once...
Was her spot.
