Taken By God

Contributed by Pats4eva7 on Sunday, 27th March 2005 @ 10:02:22 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

A year ago today,
God took my best friend away.
She took a knife and slit her wrist,
It was her time to go, she was on His list.
What a horrible way she died,
Overflowing tears I unsteadily cried.
I went to her for comfort and love,
She now rests in peace up above.
I was the only one who knew about the habit she had,
And how the darkness kept her sad.
She made me swear never to tell,
About her endless trip through Hell.
Not a word from me was spoken,
Her lost mind and her heart so broken.
No one knew about the pain she endured,
Maybe if I told she could've been cured.
It was all my fault, there's no one to blame but me,
How could you take her God, how can this be?
So young, only 14 years old,
She died without her story told.
I miss her so much it hurts inside,
What a horrible way she died.
If this happens to you, take the knife from your friend,
Keep her here and help her mend.
God please give her back to me,
I begged and begged on bended knee.
I pray but still no avail,
On to Heaven she did sail.
I have to accept me friend is no more here,
For everyday she's gone i'll cry bitter tears.
One day i'll join her in Heaven above,
And continue to shower her with my endless love.
