Please love this heart...

Contributed by mina-1 on Sunday, 27th March 2005 @ 07:31:51 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Will you be able to love me
Care for this fragile heart
That lays battered and broken
In pieces has fallen apart

Pick my mutilated heart of the floor
Where it lays broken and shattered
Into tiny spec like pieces
To nobody I really mattered

I want to feel true love
The way it should be
Liasions of the heart
Fulfilling every desire in me

I'm tired of all this encumbrance
That my fragile heart has worn
Left tarnished in the gutters
My heart sadly once again torn

Pick up my heart's remnant pieces
Placing them together bit by bit
Sculpting all the scattered fragments
Making sure each piece fits

For my only one true desire in life
Is for someone to love this heart
To fulfill my prevalent love
To free me of this misery that I'm part

Do not be fearful. They who want only someone to love in the truest sense of the word need only to follow the most ancient advise known to mankind. Have patience! True love trumps all other versions of love, including lust, being ‘star struck’, indebted, intrigued, fascinated, or mesmerized. Better to wait for your heart and soul to be in agreement than to push forward toward a perilous affair that destroys the dream. The dream IS worth waiting for.

A well written, easy to read, and understand, poem.

Cheers
John

The heart is like a jigsaw it can be pieced back together with tender love and care. Love will come when you least expect it to.

A wonderful tender write

If you find someone who loves you unconditionally and loves the heart of you---that to me would be a fairytale.

I hope you find him and that your true desire becomes a reality.

Who knows Serendipity has a way.....

Kie :)

Sue,
What can I say this was brilliant! I loved this poem alot. I especially liked this part:

"Pick my mutilated heart of the floor
Where it lays broken and shattered
Into tiny spec like pieces
To nobody I really mattered".

This was so descriptive and well written. Very nice dear friend. Keep on writing.
