Night of smiles...Life of frowns

Contributed by peacelovhppnes on Sunday, 27th March 2005 @ 12:54:28 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

As I sit and question my life...
I ask myself where do I start?
And how do I really feel?
One by one, my life drops important contributors
Wondering where they end up
and whats left laying with me..
Depression isn't the word
Confusion is on my mind
Day to Day - Over and Over
Spinning around in my own circle of conformity
Relying on unreliable sources
Obstacles stunting my growth
Wondering why I choose the answers I do
Where are you?
The one Im waiting for...
Looking forward, I see mistakes
one after another, getting in my way
A night of smiles
A life of frowns
An ear for comfort
A hand held out
Grab and take it
All I have to give
Take it or leave it
But tell me where your going
And if I'll see you again.

Knowing is half the battle.
We all mess up so please take it easy on yourself.
God don't expect perfection he jus wants us to luv one another, not to judge ourselves and others and then he gives us the desires of our hearts.
My own life before now, was one big hell of mistakes but people didn't know I had been sexually abused by an uncle as a child. At the age of 50 the flash backs started comming. Once I found the source of my inner hell then my life changed. Oh yeah, behind my back they called me names but then they must answer to the same God I live for.
Please understand that we all live-n-learn and that God luvs u no matter what. That's the beauty of it all.
Keep writing these awesome poems and your inner peace will come.
luv, huggs, prayer,
emy

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
