This Isn't the End

Contributed by gabby521 on Saturday, 26th March 2005 @ 08:57:35 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

Everything I've said before
Seems like it's been thrown out the door
I don't know how to make you see
You cannot live your life 'round me
I'd never want to hurt you, friend
And yet you act like it's the end
But think about all those who care
I'm not the only one, and it's not fair
To those who've known you longer than I
Why won't you let them be a part of your life?
I know I've hurt you, but you have to believe
When I tell you that one day, You will be happy
For all the pain that you've endured
It'll all go away, and you can be sure
That a happiness is waiting for you
As long as you're willing to make it through
This life is full of the most joyous times
Somehow we manage to only find
The things in life that hurt the most
And never want to let them go
But life goes on, and I'm sorry
There's more to today than thinking 'bout me
You'll find someone better, I'm not worth the pain
But I'll be here for you, just the same
When you're feeling down and you need a friend
I just want you know
THIS ISN'T THE END.

Life is hard aint it? This is a very good poem. One thing I must say though, is yes life goes on, and anyone who has ever been in love, knows when you lose that love or never fully gain it. It never goes away. It gets bearable yes, but it will always be in the back of your mind and the tip of your heart. I like your poem and the way you ended it. Most people would laugh it off and you showed true caring in the situation and still offered your friendship. Good write.

Please take it easy on yourself. the fact that u took the time to write this and are willing to still be a friend says much about u.
U r not responsible for what someone else feels.
U r a great friend to write this.
luv, huggs,
emy

I really enjoyed your write. Dont be hard on yourself because you only did what was right. It is better than leading him on to belive you feel the same way that he does. You sound as if you are a very caring person and once he gets over the hurt he will come to realize that again. Keep your head up and hang in there!!!
