Where the Gravel Meets the Grass

Contributed by thepizzaguy on Saturday, 26th March 2005 @ 02:07:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I know a place, where my heart lies like shattered glass
Looking back on the time, that happened so fast
My tears soak the ground beneath me
One foot in gravel, and the other on grass

The sun once covered this forgotten field
And maybe one day, this heart will heal
From the stones that your threw at it
But for now, it only stays concealed

Now as I sit here, with my eyes in a haze
I remember the pleasure in so many ways
Pain overtakes me, like dark clouds on the horizon
Remembering your lies from that month and 30 days

It's amazing, the hauntings of some people's past's
How people hide and run away so fast
I've delt with my deamons and destroyed all my fear
At the place where the gravel meets the grass

That was great, really evoked some emotion. It's so true, and very well-written.
