So you took my heart on that shadowy night
Held it securely
Kept it in the warmth of your hands
Loved it
Adored it
Then you hurled it in the air
I thought you were gonna catch it
But you let it drop slowly
Then you killed it with an arrow
Thud to the ground
Then just left it in the snow
Withering under the stars
You left it in the snow
Bleeding under the stars
You left it in the snow
Dying under the stars
You left it in the snow …

A tragedy of the heart offered in pain from one who has no heart left to offer. Pain has replaced love, and the heart can not function without affection. Pain can exist anywhere . . . except in a loving atmosphere. Now, pain rules, because a once loving heart has been broken beyond repair.
Kudos for your ability to write so aptly about your heartache. |

Wonderful way to describe the pain of heartache... it was excellently done, and so true.
