A simple thought, will the world stop,
Allow me to sleep, give me peace,
Let me relax oh how I've longed for that,
A recurring dream, one of how the world should be,
Free of terror and our own man made barriers,
No hatred of man, open up your eyes we all came from sand,
Color is just that, color, accept the fact we are all brothers,
Offer your hand in love, you and me are only flesh and blood,
Show someone you care, remember one word, I think it's share,
Look around, can't you see, we're running our world into the ground,
The more we build the more our plant becomes a landfill,
Crime, starvation, what has happen to our Nation,
Next time you see an ad about supporting a child in another country,
Stop and think about our own children going hungry,
Think about our own on the streets, no home, no clean sheets,
As I awake from my dream the world itself hasn't changed,
Full of crime, death, depression and pain,
I know my words don't mean a thing, like I said it's just a dream.
