Laughing in ruin
Ain't this a treat?
I should be sorry
For what's at my feet
I can't help but dance
In the face of defeat
And stagger on, drinking
Down Hard Knock's dark street
Character defined
By comedy and tragedy
If you only see one
What is it you see?
See them, embrace them
For they are your friends
They'll be holding you silent
When in comes your end
Share your shallow breath
And give forth your thought
To show them the respect
For which they have fought
A comfort in discomfort
That oft goes unseen
Crusher and motivator
To rebuild your Dreams
See interdigitation
Where it all combines
And don't harbor a doubt
For the depths of your mind
Explore every inch
Neverminding the jeers
Love yourself, your soul
Make the most of your years
