Alcohol Addictions

Contributed by thegurl on Friday, 25th March 2005 @ 11:58:46 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

I can’t believe I stand here now
In front of the mirror that sweats
Half unconscious trying to escape myself
Taking comfort in Vodka and Remy
Mad at myself cause I thought I could win
Blood shot eyes and shaky legs
The room starts to spin I fall to the floor
I’ve stretched myself beyond my means
Afraid to find something to control this
Cause I might breakdown in front of you
Tired of being ignored by those who should help
So lost in their little worlds they’ll never fix
Crying into the pillow I realize it’s been awhile
Since I’ve gone and screwed things up just like I always do
And I have no place to call my own
Throwing up out the window onto the street below
I’ve been here before I’ve felt this pain
I need to justify the reasons for how I’m living
What would you do if it were you
Sitting in AA I stand and leave the circle
Look back at everyone and say
Please forget the things I should have said.
