Waiting for the ball to fall,
sitting here in silence,
a flare of hope for the living impaired
to once again join
the great race of Life.
Sucked dry of well being
self asteem with silver wings,
sails off to find another mind to probe
a strong heart to sleep with
in a cozy bed of self-assurance.
I wrap myself in stitching sweet
a blanket to keep out the cold.
But the furnace in empty,
empty inside
and the cold will come
without an invite
as I wait
once again
for the Sun.
