Cold

Topic: DarkPoetry

It is the way it was meant to be
You're heart ripped to pieces by one-way love
It was screaming in painful agony
But you did what you did and you did not flee

I'm sorry it can't be this way
You'll live another life growing away from fear
It's not your fault for that one terrible day
Don't live in the past or your mind will sear

Stop taking the blame for an action not known
Sitting, rocking, staring at the birds on the other side
If you keep acting this way you will always be alone
It seems too late as if your soul has died

So much definition to the blood in your veins
I fear your heart is growing cold
I wish you could be so blessed as to walk with a cane
But you've gotten worse, you should have done what you were told

It is I with the heart that has crumpled and frozen
It is I that should be sitting were you are sitting today
It is just too bad that you were the chosen
It is just too bad you went the wrong way

seems kind of similar to some of mine. i liked the vagueness of the piece, because afterall what isnt there can be filled. while what is there can only be taken away. what is something i noticed is that this didnt seem forced in rhyme at all and that is an accomplishment. very well done indeed.
